Esurance Launches Out-of-Home Advertising from Coast to Coast

Auto Insurer Takes New Ad Campaign Outdoors

EsuranceSan Francisco, CA — July 13, 2010 /PRNewswire/ — Esurance, the direct-to-consumer personal auto insurance company, is supporting its new brand positioning with the recent launch of an outdoor advertising campaign in several cities across the nation. “People when you want them, technology when you don’t™” represents the fact that Esurance offers car insurance consumers the best of both worlds, with 24/7 customer service online or over the phone.

The outdoor ads feature the characters from the new television ad campaign. Darren Howard, Vice President of Marketing at Esurance, explains, “In our new commercials, each ensemble cast member represents either the human (feely) or technology (techie) side of Esurance. For example, Chad is a feely, which helps him provide high-quality customer service as a dedicated claims representative. Techie programmer Sanjeev develops car insurance features like online repair monitoring. This innovative feature allows customers with claims to access daily updates and photos of their cars during the repair process.”

Now, the faces of Chad, Sanjeev, and others from the cast will highlight Esurance’s key product features and benefits through the latest out-of-home campaign. The outdoor creative will appear through the end of August in several major markets including: Los Angeles, San Diego, Austin, Chicago, Tampa, and San Francisco with more markets including Dallas/Ft. Worth being added this summer. The techies and feelies of Esurance will be highly visible on billboards, bus posters, and bus shelters around the country.

Esurance will have a unique outdoor presence in the San Francisco market where the company will run a Station Domination throughout July at the Embarcadero B.A.R.T. station, a popular hub for Bay Area commuters and San Francisco residents.
